Fire Suppression
The best method of fire suppression is fire prevention. In holding with this belief, the Fire Department places much emphasis on fire prevention in regards to engineering practice, code enforcement, and public fire education.
The Mount Pleasant Fire Department currently has an ISO Class 2 rating.
A Standard of Cover has been established for the Department and Resolution R.12071 has been adopted by Town Council. The Resolution has established the benchmarks and baseline matrix for travel time in a suburban area as written in the 8th Edition of the Fire and Emergency Services Self-Assessment Manual published by the Commission on Fire Accreditation International ("CFAI")
