Technical Rescue

Fire Fighters are trained to perform in specialized rescue environments known as Technical Rescue. The team is based out of Station 4 off Six Mile Road. Each shift consists of 8-10 people that have advance training in rescue operations. Station 4 is home to the Technical Rescue Team. Equipment for each operation is maintained at the ready for quick response. MPFD personnel can be enroute 5-10 minutes from dispatch

Mount Pleasant Fire Department has taken a stance that we assist other areas that are in need. Having this level of training, equipment and the commitment to service, has made this Technical Rescue Team a vital asset to this community as well our state and neighboring states.


Technical Rescue is made up of the following types of rescue.
  • Confined Space Rescue
  • Rope Rescue
  • Structural Collapse Rescue
  • Trench Rescue
  • Vehicle/Machinery Rescue
