    Adventure awaits in the Summer Camp programs offered by your Charleston County parks! Our younger campers will enjoy the hands-on fun of Explorers Camp and Odyssey Camp, while older youth can explore a diverse assortment of outdoor activities at Adventure Camp, Teen Venture Camp, Sailing Camp, and our Junior Lifeguard Program. Designed to challenge, entertain, and inspire, our summer programs focus on developing physical, social, and decision-making skills while promoting self-confidence, environmental awareness, and, plenty of fun. We are committed to providing a positive and supportive summer experience for your child and you; come out and play with us!

    Mount Pleasant residents and visitors bring blankets and chairs, sit back to enjoy an incredible sunset while listening to local musicians, and then watch an outdoor movie with the beautiful Ravenel Bridge and Charleston Harbor for a backdrop. Movies begin at sunset (8:00 – 8:30 p.m.) Free admission & parking! Music and food sales begin at 6:30 weekly. Please check the Parents Guide on IMDB if you are unsure of the movies’ suitability for your children.   3. Mount Pleasant Reading Patrol

    The Reading Patrol is a new program that builds a foundation of knowledge and trust for our youth and strengthens their relationship with the police department. Reading and literacy are key factors in school retention and graduation rates and the department believes that it is never too early to develop a lifelong love of reading. Our talented officers are building bonds with the youth of our community one book at a time. We want to preserve and build on that positive sentiment.

    The Mount Pleasant Farmers Market is where our community meets to share in a vibrant array of locally grown and SC Certified produce. Stroll through the market to find a bounty of just-picked vegetables, fruits, and fragrant flowers along with local seafood, fresh-cooked meals, baked and canned goods, and locally produced snacks. Join us every Tuesday, April through September, from 3:30 – 7:00 p.m. to mingle with neighbors and visitors alike while enjoying live music and family-friendly activities. Free parking.
