JRS Coding School and Tabula Rasa HealthCare Celebrate New Location with Open House
MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (September 25, 2017) – Tabula Rasa HealthCare’s (NASDAQ: TRHC) software development team and its web development school, JRS Coding School, on Thursday, September 7, hosted an open house and ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the opening of the company’s new location in the Shem Creek Executive Center in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.
“We are excited to be expanding our footprint in the Mount Pleasant-Charleston region,” said Joseph Filippoli, Chief Information Officer of Tabula Rasa HealthCare, who led the ceremony. “When TRHC acquired Jack Russell Software in 2010, we made a commitment to keep this unit in South Carolina. We’re able to recruit first-rate talent here, which is key to our ability to innovate and expand our proprietary technology. Our investment in this facility and our staff will enable TRHC to continue our unprecedented growth.”
“Congratulations Tabula Rasa HealthCare and JRS Coding School on their expansion in Mount Pleasant,” said Mayor Page. “We truly appreciate their commitment to Mount Pleasant, not only in expanding their operations in our wonderful town, but also in investing in and growing our local, technical talent pool.”
Mount Pleasant Town Councilman Mark Smith joined Filippoli and Chris Staubes, President of the Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce, for the ribbon cutting ceremony.
“We applaud Tabula Rasa Healthcare and JRS Coding School as they improve the future of healthcare through innovative technology. We wish them continued success and look forward to a bright future ahead,” said Cou ncilman Smith.
Tom Wilson, Chief Technology Innovation Officer of TRHC and Head Instructor at JRS Coding School, is pleased to contribute to the region’s growing technology community. “I never imagined when I started Jack Russell Software a decade ago, that we would be where we are today,” he said. “It’s been a year since we opened the coding school’s doors, and I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished. Many of our graduates have taken their new skills and transitioned into rewarding new careers with local companies, as well as with TRHC.”
TRHC’s software development team occupies 10,000 square feet of space in the new building with the coding school occupying about 2,000 square feet. JRS Coding School and TRHC’s software development unit were previously housed at separate locations in Mount Pleasant.
