Mount Pleasant, S.C. (March 19, 2020) – The Town of Mount Pleasant today launched a new campaign entitled, Help Biz Stay, Buy Another Way, to promote the continued patronage of Mount Pleasant businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic. The campaign, led by Councilwoman and Economic Development Committee Chair, Kathy Landing, encourages citizens to support businesses by purchasing goods through means that adhere to social distancing recommendations.
“Purchasing goods online, via curbside pick-up, delivery, and gift cards are all great options to buy what we need while still continuing to socially distance ourselves”, says Landing. The Help Biz Stay, Buy Another Way campaign is featured on the Town’s social media sites and websites. Businesses and patrons alike are encouraged to share information about how they are supporting businesses during this difficult time using the hashtag, #HelpBizStayBuyAnotherWay.
Businesses and citizens can also refer to the Town’s website which features a section specifically geared towards business continuity and support. Resources and information are available and are updated frequently.
Finally, the Town is partnering with other organizations such as the Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce and Lowcountry Local First to maximize efforts to assist the local business community. All business owners are encouraged to fill out this form through the Lowcountry Local First website to share what they are doing to stay open and accessible to patrons.
