MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (Sept. 11, 2020) - At Tuesday’s Town Council Meeting, Mayor Will Haynie proclaimed September Business Appreciation Month in the Town of Mount Pleasant, with a goal of providing a fresh and ever-evolving atmosphere to remain a competitive, interesting, and desirable destination to do business in. Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce President Shane Griffin received the proclamation.
“The Town of Mount Pleasant is a business-friendly community that would like to show appreciation to the individuals that do business here and contribute to the growth and economic health of our community," states the mayoral proclamation. “The Town strives to build and strengthen relationships among local entrepreneurs and business owners and create a supportive, open, and encouraging business environment that is inviting and attractive.”
“The Town of Mount Pleasant supports the entrepreneurial spirit by being a community that not only welcomes new businesses but supports them by providing resources and offering assistance throughout the start-up process,” added Mayor Haynie.
Mount Pleasant Business Appreciation Month kicked off on September 1 via the Town of Mount Pleasant Facebook Page. Featured industries range from retail, food and beverage, entertainment, services, and to health and professional. Businesses will have the opportunity to showcase their story as they continue to safely promote their services in the age of COVID-19.
The 2020 Mount Pleasant Business and Community Expo has gone virtual and will be open for ten days, starting on September 21 and running until September 30.
