MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (December 11, 2020) - Principal Heather Calhoun and Vice Principal Laura Roach, along with Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce President-Elect Jennifer Maxwell, today attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony for Ivybrook Academy, located at 1475 Long Grove Dr., Mount Pleasant, SC.
Ivybrook Academy is an innovative early childhood school that provides half-day classes designed to embrace children and unlock a world of purpose and possibilities. They offer a variety of sessions to accommodate the needs of every family.
“This is a dream come true,” says Calhoun. “During my husband’s career in the Army, we traveled for several years. As a parent of three children during that time, it was important to find a preschool that I loved and where my children could thrive.” Calhoun continued. “Based on that experience, it is exciting to bring Ivybrook’s Montessori and Reggio Emilia blended approach to our community. I feel we can offer the foundation children need before Kindergarten, as well as the child-led piece that allows them to develop independence and the love of learning.”
Calhoun and Roach have combined their backgrounds in education, business, and most importantly, as mothers, to create a space where children can feel comfortable to learn and to grow.
Enrollment is now open for the Mount Pleasant campus of Ivybrook Academy. Visit them online at ivybrookacademy.com/mount-pleasant-sc/ or call 843-353-3833 to learn more.
