MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (April 30, 2021) - The Town of Mount Pleasant is accepting submissions for its Earth Day Reusable Bag Art Contest until June 30. Town staff will select the top five designs and then citizens will vote on their favorite. Each finalist will receive a gift card. The winner will receive a cash prize, gift card, and their design on a reusable shopping bag to be distributed to Mount Pleasant citizens and visitors.
Presented by the Town of Mount Pleasant Culture, Arts & Pride Commission and the Economic Development Committee, this program aims to promote local artists, to encourage interaction between the creative community, local businesses and residents, and to reduce single-use plastic and paper bags.
To apply, Mount Pleasant artists must submit photos of their artwork along with the completed application. The contest is open to all ages. The application can be found at https://experiencemountpleasant.com/play/culture-arts-pride-commission/.
