Youth Council Application

  1. The Town of Mount Pleasant Youth Council’s mission is to empower youth through providing the opportunity to serve, develop leadership skills, and grow to become engaged and responsible citizens.

  2. ELIGIBILITY

    All applicants must currently be residents of Mount Pleasant. All applicants must be enrolled in high school. Applicants should be dedicated to the time requirements for the monthly meetings and quarterly community service projects. Candidates selected from the application will be contacted for an interview. 

    The Town of Mount Pleasant Youth Council will be comprised of high school students and will meet on the first Thursday of each month at 5 PM.

     Application Submittal Deadline: June 24, 2022.

    Please note that this is a leadership position. Selected members will be responsible for communicating about their projects and participation to the staff liaison. Staff uses a group text with members for program communication.
