Description:
To meet current needs and as further development of the Carolina Park Recreational Facility continues, it is necessary to install permanent water lines so that the facility and its amenities can be fully functional. The water line will run from a neighborhood development to Carolina Park. Also included in this project is the construction of permanent restrooms, storage/meeting rooms and a press box. Funding will also cover the design cost of the building as well as the cost of a wastewater assessment to be conducted prior to the installation of the waterline.

Status:
Charter school will split cost of shared portion of water line and lead on the construction. Permitting in progress. Target date of August to receive permits and Sept. 20016 to begin construction. Estimated completion by end of 2016.

Cambridge Drainage

Description:

Install Cambridge Drainage system on Soccer Fields 2, 3 and 5 at Patriot's Point, and Football and Baseball Fields at the Town Recreational Complex at Park West.

Status:
Cambridge Drainage Project has been awarded to Carolina Green Corp. It is their plan to mobilize to the Patriots Point soccer fields Wednesday, July 20 and begin work on field 1. Once field 1 is complete, they will start on field 4, and they have until August 15th to complete the Patriots Point portion of the work. They will then move to Park West to install drainage on the track field. Work in Park West will also include sand slit injection on the football field to include the track field. Once Park West fields are complete, they will move to the Jones Center and start the multipurpose field and then move to baseball field 1. They have until October 1 to complete all of the work..

Rifle Range Park

Description:
The exact project description is not known as of January 2015. Residents attended a Public Input meeting on August 27, 2014 and the top choices are Rectangular multipurpose fields, green space, bike trails, walking trails, cross-country, combination of passive uses and team sports facility, multipurpose fields, BMX Park and district stadium.

Status:
No change from last report. Wood & Partners finalizing finished conceptual plan.

Carolina Park Phase 3

Description:
Carolina Park Recreation Complex consists of two adjacent parcels of land consisting of 48 and 29 acres respectfully. Phase I was completed on half of the 48 acres with the construction of four (4) lighted 120' x 70' rectangular shape multipurpose fields, 200 parking spaces, entrance road and storage building. The additional Phase(s) would consist of up to?4 fields (rectangular/diamond), outdoor multipurpose courts, restrooms and additional parking/amenities as deemed necessary via needs assessment. The 29-acre parcel of land is designated as a passive park which would consist of a running/walking trail. The trail would be a minimum of 5 kilometers in length and at least 8 feet wide so as to accommodate cross-country competitions, as well as the primary function for recreational walkers/runners.

Dectron replacement portion design RFQ sent out and awaiting responses. September 1 is the construction bid award target date. Dectron replacement is only portion of the project funded for this fiscal year.
