Description
This project involves the construction of a First Responders Monument near the existing War Memorial, a Memorial for Police Officer Vaughn Kee, and new features and improved overflow parking in the currently undeveloped area across Harry Hallman Blvd. The First Responders monument will pay tribute to firefighters, police officers, and public service employees that serve our community and will feature a large bell suspended by a replica of the bridge towers. The Officer Vaughn Kee Memorial will include a pedestal to hold a bronze sculpture of a police officer badge, a folded flag, and a poem in tribute to Officer Vaughn Kee. New features across Harry Hallman Blvd. will include a multipurpose sports court that can accommodate two basketball and four pickleball courts, a splash pad fountain play area, a restroom facility, a dog park, an exercise area, an expanded maintenance facility, and parking improvements.
