Park Avenue Boulevard & Carolina Park Boulevard Trail

Description

The Park Ave Blvd & Carolina Park Blvd Trail is a proposed 10ft to 12ft multiuse path trail along Park Ave Blvd from Salterbeck St to the roundabout at Carolina Park Blvd and down Carolina Park Blvd from the roundabout to US 17. This portion of trail is part of the Mount Pleasant Way spine route segment and will improve pedestrian facilities, provide safe and separated access to the commercial area and nearby recreation facilities, and link with other imminent and existing trail segments providing for transportation options without the need for a motor vehicle.

The Town is excited to be partnering with the Carolina Park Development to acquire the necessary recreation easements for this trail project. The Carolina Park Development is working with the Town to donate a recreation easement needed for this project.

A public meeting was held on June 21, 2023 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the Wando Branch Library 1400 Carolina Park Blvd, Mount Pleasant, SC 29466.
