GIS
A
Geographic Information System (GIS) integrates hardware, software, and data for capturing, managing, analyzing, and displaying all forms of geographically referenced information. GIS allows one to view, understand, interpret, and visualize data in many ways that reveal relationships, patterns, and trends in the form of maps, globes, reports, and charts. GIS helps answer questions and solve problems by looking at data in a way that is quickly understood and easily shared.
The Town of Mount Pleasant has a new
Beta GIS site that includes zoning information, recommended land use, height, flood zone and aerial imagery. The new site works on computers, tablets and smart phones. You can search by Tax Map Number or address. If you need assistance, an
overview of the new GIS website is available.
The current
Town of Mount Pleasant GIS will be available for a short time as we transition to the new site.
Please send comments and issues for the new Beta site to Planning@tompsc.com
