MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (March 11, 2016) - Mount Pleasant Waterworks (MPW) has been working to install new wastewater forcemains from Mathis Ferry Road to Coleman Boulevard. Beginning on March 15th, the project will move to the area of Muirhead and Mathis Ferry Road. In order for the forcemain to be installed a portion of the sidewalk in this area will be closed to pedestrian traffic (see attached map).
For your safety, pedestrians are asked to avoid this area beginning on March 15th. The project is expected to be complete by April 15th. During this time the sidewalk will be cut open creating a large whole, pedestrians will notice heavy construction traffic, and use of large equipment. Once the project is complete, the sidewalk will be reconstructed and open to pedestrians.
MPW works very hard to protect citizens, employees and contractors during projects and appreciates your understanding and patience. Customers can learn more about MPW’s projects under construction by visiting www.mountpleasantwaterworks.com
