MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (April 6, 2016) - Charleston County Government is now accepting applications for distribution of approximately $300,000 to non-profit, 501(c) organizations that provide community programs in the Charleston County area. The overall funding amount is subject to approval by County Council. The allocations will be approved by County Council in July/August 2016 and must be used by June 30, 2017.
County Council approved the new Community Investment Policy on Tuesday, March 22. The policy sets deadlines, requirements and procedures for any qualifying organization seeking funding from Charleston County Government. Applications will be considered based on objective criteria including the stability of the organization, financial condition and other factors.
