MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (April 21, 2016) - Registration for the Mount Pleasant Police Department Junior Summer Safety Camp kicked off today. “This favorite community outreach program is free and fosters positive relationships with the youth of our community,” said Mount Pleasant Police Chief Carl Ritchie. ”Children ages 5-10 have the opportunity to learn a variety of safety topics and develop lasting relationships with our men and women in blue.”
The Junior Summer Safety Camp will take place on June 20-24, 2016, from 8:30 a.m. (check in) to 12 noon (check out) at Mamie P. Whitesides Elementary School, 1565 Rifle Range Rd.
“We limit each event to 50 Mount Pleasant students and we urge you to register soon. Registration is available online at www.tompsc.com. Visit our Police Youth Programs page and sign up,” said Sgt. William Mauldin. “The safety topics will include: Fire safety, water safety, bike safety, animal safety and more!”
