MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (July 8, 2016) - Mount Pleasant Waterworks will be upgrading the sewer main on McCants Drive, between Simmons Street and Greenwich Street. McCants Drive will be closed to through traffic with a detour between Simmons Street and Royall Avenue, starting on Monday, July 11, at 8 am.
Residents along this section of road will have access to their property during construction. The construction is projected to take approximately six (6) week to complete.
All traffic will be detoured utilizing Freeman Street. Detour signs will be posted to assist the public. All funeral traffic should use Freeman Street to gain access to the cemetery. Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
All work will take place during the daytime from 8 am until 5 pm. If possible, please use alternate routes during this construction.
Please use extra caution while driving in these construction zone. “Let them work, let them live."
