Charleston County Environmental Management has announced the schedule for the following Convenience Centers (except Signal Point as noted below) starting Tuesday, Oct. 11:

The Charleston County Council meeting, which was originally scheduled for Tuesday, October 4 was rescheduled for 5 p.m. on Thursday, October 13. We will also hold the regularly scheduled Tuesday, October 18 County Council meeting as usual.The Oct. 10 Planning Commission meeting was rescheduled for Oct. 24. The meeting will begin at 2 p.m. and will be held in Council Committee Room.
Public Works crews are currently clearing roadways and access to facilities. The crews will begin debris cleanup this week and citizens are asked to place storm debris on the curb for pick-up. The Charleston County Zoning and Land Development Regulations Ordinance allows the requirement for a Grand Tree Removal Permit to be waived within the unincorporated areas of Charleston County, in the event that a tree poses a serious and imminent threat to public safety due to death, disease or damage resulting from emergencies including, but not limited to, fires, flooding, storms, and natural disasters. Documentation including photos of the tree(s), a written description of the condition, and property address should be emailed to planning@charlestoncounty.org or mailed to the Zoning/Planning Department at 4045 Bridge View Dr, North Charleston, SC 29405.
The County is at OPCON 5. The Citizen Information Line remains will be open on Tuesday, Oct. 11 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
