MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (April 18, 2017) – Beginning on Monday, April 24, Fleet Week will kick off the 30th Anniversary of the Town of Mount Pleasant Blessing of the Fleet & Seafood Festival presented by East Cooper Medical Center and Harris Teeter.
The festival will be held on April 30, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Memorial Waterfront Park. Fleet Week will lead up to the festival with a line up including a book signing and reading from award-winning author Martine Wolfe-Miller, Farmers Market activities, a shrimp boat painting class at Fear No Easel, Party at the Point and Shaggin’ on the Cooper.

Replicas of two ships that made history when Christopher Columbus sailed to the New World will be open for public tours. The Nina and Pinta caravels, are nimble Portuguese sailing vessels, operated by the Columbus Foundation of the British Virgin Islands, an educational group.
