The Barre Code celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon cutting on Wednesday, June 7. Mount Pleasant Mayor Linda Page, along with Councilmen Gary Santos, Jim Owens and Mark Smith, and Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce President Chris Staubes were in attendance to cut the ceremonial ribbon.

Co-founders Ariana Chernin and Jillian Lorenz first introduced The Barre Code, a women’s-focused exercise regimen, to the River North neighborhood of Chicago in 2010.
