MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (June 16, 2017) - Construction of the intersection improvements at the intersection of SC-41 and Joe Rouse Road is scheduled to start on Monday June 19 and continue through September 19.
The south bound lane of traffic on Highway 41 will be shifted to the center lane. The shift in traffic is necessary for the contractor to work safely while constructing an additional south bound lane at the intersection. Once completed the new lane will allow dual left turns from Joe Rouse Road onto US-41 South.
Construction will take place between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. The speed limit will be reduced to 35 mph in the construction zone during these hours and will be strictly enforced.
The driving public should use extra caution while driving in this construction zone and may want to seek alternate routes of travel during the above hours. “Let ‘em work, let ‘em live!"
