MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (August 28, 2017) - The Town of Mount Pleasant is preparing to receive what is anticipated to be several inches of rain accompanied by high winds as part of a tropical system off the southeastern coast of South Carolina. Town equipment and personnel are prepositioned to assist with flooding and removal of fallen trees. The Mount Pleasant Recreation Department is monitoring the weather closely for potential cancellations. Patrons are urged to stay in touch via rainedout.com, the municipal website, Facebook and Twitter for latest updates. The South Carolina Department of Transportation will make the final decision as to bridge closures resulting from high winds.
