MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (September 28, 2017) - The Town of Mount Pleasant Public Services Department offers the following update:
- The Waste Management Division has completed their first pass of debris removal from Tropical Storm Irma. They are currently conducting the second pass on the normal Monday route. When they finish the second pass on the Monday route they will begin collecting the normal Tuesday route. The second pass will include collection of non-vegetative debris (trash).
- Please ensure that vegetative debris piles only contain vegetation and that all other materials are stacked separately. They cannot be collected together.
- As of this morning, the Waste Management Division has collected 17,968 Cubic Yards of vegetative debris associated with the storm during 14 days of collection operations.
- All other Public Service Department Divisions are conducting normal operations and working their normal schedules and routes.
