MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (September 29, 2017) - Beginning on Tuesday, October 3 and continuing through the middle of December, Simmons Street (between Coleman Boulevard and Live Oak Drive) will be closed to all traffic. Simmons Street will be posted as a "No Parking Zone" during these hours. Vehicles left in the "No Parking Zone" during these hours may be subject to ticketing and towing. The Contractor will set up detour signs to direct traffic around the construction zone.
This closure is necessary to enable the Contractor to install the storm water drainage system and utilities on Simmons Street.
The driving public should use extra caution while driving in this construction zone and may want to seek alternate routes of travel during the above hours. “Let ‘em work, let ‘em live!"
