MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (October 4, 2017) - The Town of Mount Pleasant Public Services Department offers the following Tropical Storm Irma update:
- The Waste Management Division has completed their first pass of debris removal from Tropical Storm Irma. Today they are trying to finish the second pass of the normal Tuesday route. Late this afternoon or tomorrow morning they should start the second pass of the normal Wednesday route. The second pass includes collection of non-vegetative debris (trash).
- Please ensure that vegetative debris piles only contain vegetation and that all other materials are stacked separately. They cannot be collected together.
- As of this morning, the Waste Management Division has collected 22,032 Cubic Yards of vegetative debris associated with the storm during 18 days of collection operations.
- All other Public Service Department Divisions are conducting normal operations and working their normal schedules and routes.
