MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (October 6, 2017) - The Town of Mount Pleasant Public Services Department offers the following Tropical Storm Irma update:
- The Waste Management Division completed their first pass of debris removal from Tropical Storm Irma on September 28th. This morning they will finish the second pass of the normal Tuesday route and start the second pass of the normal Wednesday route. When they complete the Wednesday route, they will conduct the second pass of the Thursday route. After the second pass of all routes is complete we will resume our normal trash collection schedule. The second pass includes collection of non-vegetative debris (trash).
- Please ensure that vegetative debris piles only contain vegetation and that all other materials are stacked separately. They cannot be collected together.
- As of this morning, the Waste Management Division has collected 22,920 Cubic Yards of vegetative debris associated with the storm during 19 days of collection operations.
- All other Public Service Department Divisions are conducting normal operations and working their normal schedules and routes.
