MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (October 12, 2017) - The Town of Mount Pleasant Public Services Department offers the following Tropical Storm Irma update:
- The Waste Management Division completed their first pass of debris removal from Tropical Storm Irma on September 28. Today they are finishing the normal Thursday route. This will complete our second pass for debris removal for Tropical Storm Irma and complete our storm cleanup efforts. We will likely get a head start on the normal Monday route today as well. We will resume our normal trash collection schedule on Monday 16October and run the whole Monday route again.
- Please ensure that vegetative debris piles only contain vegetation and that all other materials are stacked separately. Theycannot be collected together.
- As of this morning, the Waste Management Division has collected 27,364 Cubic Yards of vegetative debris associated with the storm during 24 days of collection operations.
- All other Public Service Department Divisions are conducting normal operations and working their normal schedules and routes.
