MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (May 9, 2018) – The Town of Mount Pleasant was awarded a Platinum and two Gold Hermes Creative Awards in an international competition for creative professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of traditional materials and emerging technologies.
“Receiving a Platinum or Gold Award is a tremendous achievement," said Mount Pleasant Mayor Will Haynie at yesterday’s Town Council Meeting. "I would like to congratulate the Business and Tourism Office for their Platinum win, the Communications Office for their Gold Award and the Recreation Department for winning two Gold Awards. Staff’s creative talent clearly exceeds a high standard of industry excellence."
The Town of Mount Pleasant received the following Hermes Creative Awards distinctions:
There are an estimated 6,000 entries from throughout the United States and many other countries in the Hermes Creative Awards competition. In the past, about 15 percent of entries won top Platinum Award and around 20 percent won the Gold Award. Approximately 10 percent were Honorable Mention winners.
Hermes Creative Awards is administered by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (www.amcpros.com). The international organization consists of several thousand marketing, communication, advertising, public relations, digital media production and free-lance professionals. AMCP oversees awards and recognition programs, provides judges and awards outstanding achievement and service to the profession.
