MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (MAY 21, 2018) – Grace & Grit celebrated the grand opening of its newest concept, The Grit Counter, a quick-casual lunch counter serving Southern-influenced fare, with a ribbon cutting ceremony May 11. The grand opening was commemorated with Mount Pleasant Mayor Will Haynie and Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce President Chris Staubes in attendance.
“Congratulations to Grace & Grit on the opening of The Grit Counter,” said Mayor Haynie. “I’m thrilled to see another member of our business community continue to thrive and better serve our town.”
Chef and owner Frank Kline, and Executive Chef JD Coleman, came together to develop this innovative lunch concept with the idea of playing off Grace & Grit’s existing grit-centric menu to introduce a more casual and lunch-friendly version in their grit bowls. With several weeks under their belt, The Grit Counter has already proven to be a hit for those venturing in for a fun and unique lunch setting.
“I really want people to be excited about what they’re eating. I want them to know they’re getting the same quality ingredients in the daytime next door that they’re getting in the nighttime at Grace & Grit – just in a different form,” said Kline.
The Grit Counter is located at 320 Wingo Way, in the same building as Grace & Grit. Specializing in lunch, the counter is open from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily and closed on Sundays. Inside and patio seating are available, as well as call-ahead ordering. For more information, visit facebook.com/thegritcountermtp/ or call (846) 352 – 9736.
