MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (October 5, 2018) -- The Town of Mount Pleasant welcomed the addition of its newest artists studio here with a ribbon cutting ceremony Friday afternoon.
Located at 1303 Ben Sawyer Boulevard, longstanding Accent Framing and Gallery recently added a new artists studio to its facility for artists of all kinds needing a space to create, exhibit and sell their work.
"Mount Pleasant is an art-friendly community thriving on cultural ventures,” said Councilwoman Kathy Landing. “Accent Framing and Gallery's new artist studio space will provide the type of location needed to foster the creative process among local artists."
With a newly added artist studio rental space, artists will be able to create and innovate as they work in a myriad of artistic styles. In addition to these amenities, the space will be open to teachers as a workshop for their classes.
Accent Framing will provide a number of services to include custom picture framing, custom mirrors, distressing/repainting moldings and custom fine art printing on canvas and photo papers.
Other services will include giclee work, local original art, artwork in glass and silver jewelry, art classes, studio rental space and more.
“We are proud to serve the Low Country with our complete, in-house, custom picture frame shop,” said Jon Gulla, Accent Framing and Gallery owner. “Locally owned and operated for nearly 30 years by professional artists, we pride ourselves in providing artists with hand-crafted uniqueness and style.”
