MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (Oct. 17, 2018) – The Town of Mount Pleasant’s Senior Center will open its doors Nov. 8 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. for an educational and exciting 10th anniversary and open house.
The open house and 10th anniversary will begin at 11 a.m. with a ceremony and keynote community speakers, and then move into one-on-one instructor meet and greets until 2 p.m.
“From fitness classes to social gatherings, the Senior Center has a multitude of activities for Mount Pleasant residents and non-residents,” says Sherrie Pompeii, senior center coordinator. “During the 10th Anniversary and Open House, you can explore all the fitness options! Talk with our staff, check out the Billiards Tournament or watch a demo of a fitness class with an onsite instructor.”
Explore the endless options in various fitness classes with live demos shown throughout. Tour the facility including the variety of treadmills, ellipticals and various equipment. Learn about other program offerings and social activities including bridge and foreign language classes.
There will also be an onsite artist and jewelry designer as well as food, giveaways and more.
Along with showcasing the Senior Center, the anniversary and open house will highlight the many athletic programs and classes offered by the Mount Pleasant Recreation Department for those over 50. Come learn more about the aquatics programs, tennis clinics, bridge games and all adult classes available to the public.

ABOUT THE MOUNT PLEASANT SENIOR CENTER
