MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (June 9, 2022) – Walkers and runners are invited to enjoy use of the Lucy Beckham High School track during the summer break. Following the success of the winter break partnership with the Charleston County School District (CCSD), Mount Pleasant Councilman Gary Santos again spearheaded the effort to secure public use of the track while school is out. The track will be open to the public Monday through Friday, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., beginning today June 13 through July 29.
“We are excited to welcome our residents back to Lucy’s namesake track on Monday, June 13,” said Council Member Santos. “Residents have now their pick of three rubber tracks to use at Town Hall Municipal Complex, Lucy Beckham High School, and Park West Recreation Complex. Again, I would like to commend CCSD for their proactive stance on recreation and for partnering with the Town for the benefits of our residents.”
