MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (October 21, 2022) - Due to the cleanup efforts associated with Hurricane Ian, the Town of Mount Pleasant Public Services Department will be adhering to the following schedule for waste collection services:
Household garbage (brown cans) will be collected on your regularly scheduled day. Find your collection day here.
The Waste Management Division has completed the first pass of vegetative debris pick-up. The second pass of debris pick-up has begun. We are currently working on Tuesday’s route. We also plan to start on Wednesday’s route today.
We are focusing our efforts on collecting vegetative debris. Construction and Demolition items such as drywall, wood products, furniture, and appliances WILL NOT be collected at this time. Residents can drop off this type of debris at a County Collection Center.

To help us in this effort, please make sure to put leaves and small debris into yard bags and cut large limbs six feet to eight feet in length. We will provide daily updates on which neighborhoods will be next for collection.
