1. How old do I have to be to skate at the skatepark?

All ages are welcome. Participants under the age of 9 must be accompanied by an adult 17 years of age or older.

2. Is there a cost to skate?

Annual memberships are $25 resident and $30 non-resident/year. Daily fees are free for members and $3 for non-members.

3. What are the hours of operation?

Hours change monthly. Typically, during the school year, we are open after school, Saturday afternoons, and some school holidays. Summers, we are open Monday - Saturday afternoon. We are closed on Town holidays. Click here for the Monthly Schedule

4. Is the skatepark supervised?

Yes. The skatepark is supervised at all times.

5. What are the dimensions of the skatepark?

The skatepark consists of a 3" thick 70' X 110' concrete pad surrounded by a chain link fence.

6. What type of ramps are in the skatepark?

Equipment consists of quarter-pipes, bank ramps, boxes, jumps, and rails. The skating surface is black Skatelite Pro.

7. How old do I have to be to work at the skatepark?

You must be a minimum of 16 years old and meet all Town of Mount Pleasant hiring requirements.

8. If I am over 18 years old, can I sign a waiver so I don't have to wear pads?

No. All participants, regardless of age, must wear helmets, elbow pads, and knee pads every time they enter the skatepark.

9. Are inline skates, bikes, or scooters allowed in the skatepark?

No. The skatepark only allows skateboards.

10. Are skateboard camps offered?

Yes. Camps are offered each summer in June and July.
